Is It Haram to Watch Halloween Movies?

In my opinion, I do not believe it is Haram to watch Halloween movies because, you are just watching it for entertainment. If you are watching the movie to gain knowledge or follow certain haram practices, that would be considered haram. Narrated by Abu Dawood and At-Tirmidhi, on the authority of Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “Whoever imitates a people is one of them.” As long as you are not following unlawful practices or watching something that is obscene, I do not believe it would be haram. Remember that Islam is not difficult or harsh to follow; we are the ones making it difficult. May Allah (swt) guide us all! Ameen.
