Q: I have been consistently praying for something for a few months in tahajjud. Someone recommended I pray istikhara with tahajjud because of the sanctity of the time. I pray this an hour before fajr then read Quran until fajr and then go to sleep before work. I see a good dream after fajr about my affairs (response to istikhara I think). I still haven’t gotten what I ask for in tahajjud and istikhara. But my question is regarding the timing of the dream. Can dreams after fajr be a response to istikhara and just as important.
A: Dreams can mean response to your prayers. Remember that Allah (swt) works in mysterious ways and will always show you signs. You have been praying for something, and signs do not just come randomly. Allah (swt) listens to all of our prayers. In the Qur’an Allah (swt) mentions, “Call upon Me, I will answer you.” [Quran 40:60]. Trust in Allah’s timing and plan and Insha’Allah all your prayers will be answered. Hope that helps!
