Q: What is dua in Islam? Is Allah’s name ‘Love’?
A: Dua means to call out and beg for something earnestly. Whenever you want something, you make dua. I like to think of dua as simple prayer. Simply raise your hands, and ask Allah (swt) earnestly for what you want in life. Every religion makes dua. For example, some Christians get on their knees, fold their hands, and make dua. Dua can be done at any time, especially after the five daily salahs. Allah simply means God in Arabic, and in Islam, Allah (swt) has 99 names, and here is a link to all the 99 names. 🙂 https://99namesofallah.name/.
