Q: I find it more comfortable to pray alone, so when my brother walked by today, I felt shy and decided to pause and pray later. Would this invalidate my prayers?
A: Of course it does not invalidate your prayers. Allah (swt) knows that you are trying to pray and that is the most important thing that matters. When I first taught my siblings to pray, they were like you. They only liked praying in private, and overttime, they became used to praying in front of others. Even if you don’t get used to praying in front of others overttime, there is nothing wrong with praying in private. It is a beautiful moment between you and Allah (swt), so don’t be too hard on yourself.
